This cute ginger who likes to lay on his left side is the first newborn session I've done. Everyone who told me that newborns are the most challenging subjects to photograph was right. But the sense of accomplishment even when you just get them to fall asleep and pose is AWESOME! Besides, who doesn't love those sweet sleepy faces and their tiny fingers and cute little feet?

What I thought was going to be an ugly afternoon (heavy overcast threatening to rain) to take pictures gave us a beautiful sunset instead, right as we were about done.

These kids were very fun to photograph. They were very relaxed and laughing most of the time, I didn't even have to beg for a smile. They were also kind to each other and so polite, I knew I was going to love them as soon as we started. :)

"Though she be but little, she is fierce!"

This 1-week old is mighty strong. She did not like to be wrapped and would kick her way out whenever I attempted to. I did not expect to see a baby this young with so much strength. But what impressed me the most was when she pushed up her chest with her arms in rebellion when I tried to pose her inside the barrel. And she won! We laid her on top of it instead (see last picture) which made for a cute photo.
